Job Description

Job Title: Associate Professor – Finance

Role Summary:

The Associate Professor – Finance is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic and institutional development. The role also involves curriculum design, industry interaction, and supporting accreditation and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

  • Deliver lectures in core and specialized finance subjects such as Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets, and Risk Management.
  • Develop course material, lesson plans, and case studies.
  • Use innovative teaching methods including case-based learning, simulations, and technology-enabled tools.

2. Research & Publications

  • Conduct high-quality research in finance and related areas.
  • Publish papers in reputed national and international journals.
  • Present research at conferences, seminars, and workshops.

3. Curriculum Development

  • Design and update curriculum in line with industry trends and academic standards.
  • Contribute to syllabus revision as per guidelines of AICTE, UGC, and affiliating bodies.

4. Student Mentoring & Development

  • Mentor and guide students for academic and career development.
  • Supervise projects, dissertations, and internships.
  • Support placement activities and industry readiness.

5. Institutional Responsibilities

  • Participate in academic committees, faculty meetings, and institutional initiatives.
  • Contribute to accreditation processes such as NAAC/NBA.
  • Assist in organizing seminars, conferences, guest lectures, and workshops.

6. Industry Interaction

  • Develop strong industry linkages for guest sessions, live projects, and placements.
  • Collaborate with corporate partners for research and consulting assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Finance or related field (as per UGC norms).
  • Master's degree (MBA/PGDM in Finance / M.Com / equivalent) with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of teaching/research/industry experience (as per institutional norms).
