Role Overview
Seeking an experienced academic professional to lead the Applied Sciences Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for academic leadership, faculty management, accreditation compliance, and overall departmental performance. The role requires strong experience in university or autonomous institutions, along with exposure to regulatory and accreditation bodies.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Lead and manage the Applied Sciences Department (Chemistry / Physics / Mathematics).
- Develop and implement academic plans, curriculum, and teaching methodologies.
- Ensure high standards in teaching, research, and student outcomes.
Faculty & Student Management
- Manage and mentor a team of 35+ faculty members.
- Oversee academic performance and discipline of 1000+ students.
- Conduct faculty evaluations, training, and development programs.
Accreditation & Compliance
- Lead and manage NAAC and NBA accreditation processes.
- Ensure compliance with AICTE and university regulations (IKGPTU).
- Prepare and maintain required academic and administrative documentation.
Administration & Coordination
- Coordinate with university bodies and regulatory authorities.
- Manage departmental budgets, planning, and reporting.
- Ensure smooth functioning of academic and administrative operations.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications
- PhD (Mandatory) in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
- MSc in Chemistry / Physics / Mathematics
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of academic experience
- Currently working as Associate Professor / Professor / HOD
- Experience in Autonomous Institutes or Universities (Mandatory)
Additional Requirements
- Hands-on experience with NAAC & NBA accreditation
- Experience liaising with AICTE and IKGPTU
- Strong academic and administrative leadership background
