Company Description Square Yards is a full-stack proptech platform that covers the entire real estate journey, from property search and discovery through transactions, mortgages, home furnishing, rentals, and property management. Facilitating over 15,000 transactions annually worth more than USD 1 billion, Square Yards operates with profitable economics and a strong growth trajectory. It has successfully expanded beyond India, with a significant share of revenue coming from global markets including the Middle East, Australia, and Canada. Leveraging data analytics and VR tools, as well as adjacent platforms like Azuro, Interior Company, and Square Capital, Square Yards is working to disrupt traditional marketplaces and build India's first MLS-style platform.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Pune City. The Area Sales Manager will lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, set targets, and monitor performance to drive property sales and revenue growth in the assigned territory. Responsibilities include developing and executing territory sales plans, managing channel partners and key accounts, and overseeing the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. The role involves conducting market research, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to refine offerings and campaigns. The Area Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring high service standards, and preparing regular sales forecasts and reports for leadership.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales management, territory handling, and business development, ideally within real estate, proptech, or related industries.
  • Strong skills in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close high-value deals.
  • Competence in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and using CRM or sales tracking tools to monitor performance and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer data to identify opportunities, refine sales strategies, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the organization professionally in meetings, site visits, and events.
  • Experience in building, coaching, and motivating sales teams, including goal setting, performance reviews, and ongoing skill development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and willingness to travel within Pune and nearby areas as required.
