Hiring: Area Sales Manager Cardiac Devices

About the Opportunity I am partnering with a leading Medical Device organization to bring on board an aggressive and clinically sound Area Sales Manager (ASM) for their Cardiac Devices division.

Based in Mumbai, this role is critical for driving field-level execution, expanding territory penetration, and solidifying market share in one of the most competitive healthcare landscapes in the country. We need a hustler who thrives in the cath lab environment and knows how to close deals with top-tier hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Take complete ownership of the Mumbai territory to meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for the cardiac portfolio (stents, pacemakers, balloons, etc.).
  • Clinical & Case Support: Spend significant time in the field and inside cath labs, providing technical and clinical support to Interventional Cardiologists during procedures.
  • KOL Relationship Building: Develop and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with key cardiologists, cath lab technicians, and hospital procurement heads.
  • Distributor & Channel Management: Appoint, manage, and drive performance across the local distributor network. Ensure optimal inventory rotation and effective consignment management.
  • Market Execution: Roll out localized marketing initiatives, track competitor pricing/schemes, and identify new hospital accounts for immediate conversion.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 4 to 8 years of solid, on-the-ground sales experience in the MedTech industry, with a mandatory background in Cardiac Devices or Interventional Cardiology.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, or Bio-medical Engineering.
  • Market Knowledge: A highly active, existing network within Mumbai's major corporate hospitals and private cardiac setups.
  • Skills: High energy, excellent objection-handling skills, and the ability to articulate complex clinical data simply and effectively.
