Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in the Pune District. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory. Day-to-day tasks include managing and developing a pipeline of prospective clients, conducting sales meetings and presentations, and building strong relationships with local businesses and partners. The role involves monitoring market trends, gathering competitor insights, and providing regular sales forecasts and reports to leadership. The Area Sales Manager will also guide and support local sales representatives (if applicable), ensure high standards of customer service, and implement sales strategies and campaigns aligned with company goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field sales, business development, or territory management, preferably in services or recruitment-related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage effectively with clients at different levels.
- Ability to plan territory coverage, manage a sales pipeline, and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Comfort with using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic reporting dashboards to track leads and performance.
- Strong problem-solving, relationship-building, and customer service orientation.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in an on-site, field-focused role across Pune District.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant sales experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Familiarity with the local market in Pune District and proficiency in English and local languages will be an advantage.
