About The Role
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Application Support Engineer, based in Kochi. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of access control and enterprise systems, ensuring seamless operation and integration across multiple platforms. The role requires a proactive approach to incident management, system optimization, and stakeholder communication, contributing significantly to the security and operational efficiency of client environments.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess over 5 years of experience in technical support or field engineering, with a strong background in ELV systems, particularly access control. A bachelor's degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience with deployment and support of access control systems, HRMS integrations, visitor management, time & attendance, and parking systems, especially with Nedap and Invixium solutions. Proficiency in Windows Server environments and Microsoft SQL Server configuration and management is essential. Knowledge of SQL queries, load-balanced environments, and high-availability systems will be advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with networking concepts, cybersecurity practices, and system hardening will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The Application Support Engineer will be tasked with leading the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of access control systems and custom software solutions. They will provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for critical issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal system downtime. Managing integrations with HRMS and other enterprise systems will be a key part of the role, alongside supporting visitor management, time & attendance, and parking management systems based on Nedap and Invixium products.
Incident management will be a core responsibility, including incident logging, root cause analysis, and preparing detailed incident reports and root cause analysis documents. The engineer will perform system installation, commissioning, and on-site support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and integration-related issues. Managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, configuring and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases, and writing SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting are critical tasks.
The role also involves supporting load balancer environments and high-availability systems, monitoring system health, performance, and uptime to ensure optimal operation. Coordination with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders will be essential for seamless project execution and issue resolution. Maintaining detailed technical documentation and reports will support ongoing system improvements and compliance standards.
