Job Description

This role will be part of the Blackline COE providing subject matter expertise within the accounting organization and will work with the Manager, GBS Global Blackline as the facilitators educating and reviewing Blackline functionality amongst the global accounting teams. Reporting to the Manager, GBS Global Blackline, the analyst will support regular monitoring and system maintenance related to monthly account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, journal entries, task management and reporting analytics.

This role calls for the capability to work cross-functionally with IT, data assurance, and accounting contacts at a variety of levels. Additionally, this role requires a high level of interaction with and oversight of individuals across the globe. Looking for someone keen on continuous improvement with strong initiative. Key opportunities for enhancement include implementing Blackline technologies across Kraft Heinz global footprint, current module upgrades, and expanding the use of automation and analytics to create efficiencies. Compiling reporting will also be a key addition to this role which includes maintenance of core activities related to control and compliance.

Specific Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

System Administration:

  • Maintaining the BlackLine platform, including user roles, permissions, and security settings.
  • Supporting system updates and upgrades.
  • Work with Kraft Heinz Security Provisioning Platform (i.e. Saviynt) to enable structured approval processes
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues internally or via raising tickets with Blackline.
  • Ensuring data integrity and security within the BlackLine system.
  • Supporting new entity and other master data set-up is configured in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform routine system tasks, such as period and calendar maintenance, report customization and extraction, and monitoring the timeliness of reconciliations
  • Monitor imports and interfaces from subledgers and local ERPs into the system and troubleshoot issues
  • Participate in meetings with Blackline and Consultants to discuss issues and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring Blackline interfaces are tested regularly and are working well to avoid issues with the month end financial close- research issues as needed.

User Support:

  • Providing training and support to BlackLine users on system functionality and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting user issues and resolving problems related to the BlackLine platform.
  • Maintaining user documentation and training materials.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance and support on requests related to user access roles, reconciliation assignment, organization structure, etc.
  • Provide guidance to local system admins as needed
  • Testing of the Blackline software program to ensure newly implemented and existing functionality is working as intended
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
