Role Description:
As an Admissions Strategist for Ivy League and top-tier universities, you will own a student's complete admissions journey.
Based in Gurugram, this full-time role involves defining strategy, building the student profile, shaping positioning, and driving execution across essays, applications, and timelines.
You will work closely with high school students and parents to align their profiles, choices, and applications with the expectations of highly selective universities.

What You Will Do
- Create well-balanced university shortlists aligned with student profiles, goals, and financial considerations
- Design early application strategies (ED/EA/REA) with clarity on trade-offs and outcomes
- Navigate complex cases across curricula, geographies, and competitive programs
- Guide Academic & Testing Decisions
- Advise on SAT/ACT strategy and retake decisions
- Guide English proficiency testing where required
- Support academic positioning, subject choices, rigor, and overall narrative
- Lead Application Strategy
- Guide essay direction and storytelling approach
- Advice on activity positioning and impact articulation
- Ensure coherence across the entire application from profile development to application submission
- Manage Student & Parent Engagement
- Conduct structured strategy sessions across the application cycle
- Communicate clearly with both students and parents
- Maintain accountability across timelines, deliverables, and outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in college admissions counselling with demonstrated outcomes in highly selective university placements (Ivy League, Ivy Plus, Oxbridge, or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of the US admissions landscape, including application platforms (Common App, Scoir, UC), testing policies, financial aid, and early application programs
- Knowledge of UK admissions (UCAS, Oxbridge)
- Familiarity with IB, A Levels, AP, CBSE, and IGCSE, and their positioning for US/UK admissions
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability — able to assess student profiles, identify competitive positioning, and build data-informed strategies
- Clear and structured communication skills — able to engage effectively with both students and parents
- Strong organisational ability — comfortable managing multiple active students with overlapping timelines and deliverables
