As we expand, we are looking for a keen Business Development Executive who can identify growth opportunities, build long-term client relationships and contribute to scaling the agency.
Role Overview
The candidate will bring in new mandates but also understand how to leverage data, market trends and industry insights to build long-term value for clients and the agency.
The role requires someone who can see the bigger picture, identifying opportunities across sectors, building strategic proposals, and aligning commercial growth with strong execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new sectors, emerging brands, start-ups, partnerships and untapped growth areas
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
- Proactively generate leads through networking, outreach, referrals and industry mapping
- Lead Conversion & Pitching
- Lead end-to-end pitch processes from prospecting to closure
- Develop customised proposals and strategic pitch decks
- Think strategically while structuring retainers and integrated communication mandates
- Negotiate commercials, ensuring profitability and long-term sustainability
- Strategic Thinking & Industry Awareness
- Track PR, media and digital communication trends to identify new service opportunities
- Leverage real-time data, media intelligence and industry insights to strengthen pitches
- Contribute to the development of comprehensive communication strategies and oversee their commercial alignment
Candidate Profile
- Around/over two years of experience in Business Development within a Public Relations/Marketing/Agency setup
- Strong understanding of Public Relations retainers, media mandates and integrated communication campaigns
- Proven track record of generating revenue and closing mandates
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong strategic thinking with commercial acumen
- Customer-obsessed mindset with long-term relationship focus
- Entrepreneurial attitude with ownership mindset
