Role: Accounts Manager
Location: Andheri East
Reporting to: CFO
Employment: In-Person Role & Full Time
Experience: 7 Years
Role Overview
EUME is a premium travel and lifestyle brand operating across its own retail stores, e-commerce / D2C, marketplaces, General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT). We are hiring a hands-on Accounts Manager to own accurate accounting, timely closing of books, channel reconciliations and management reporting across these operations. The role reports directly to the CFO and supervises the accounts team.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Book Closure
· Lead daily accounting across retail, e-commerce, GT and MT: sales, purchases, expenses, receivables, payables, inventory-related entries and general ledger.
· Own monthly, quarterly and year-end closing timelines, including provisions, accruals, ledger scrutiny, balance-sheet schedules and audit-ready books.
· Review vendor invoices, payments, collections, ageing and accounting controls; supervise the team to resolve exceptions promptly.
Channel Reconciliations & Controls
· Own end-to-end e-commerce reconciliations across marketplaces and D2C/payment gateways: orders, invoices, settlements, commissions, fees, TCS/TDS, returns, refunds and bank receipts, ensuring all variances are resolved.
· Oversee retail POS/store collections and GT/MT receivables, deductions, credit notes and outstanding balances; coordinate with commercial and operations teams to close reconciliation gaps.
MIS & Financial Reporting
· Own accurate, timely monthly MIS for the CFO: channel-wise sales and margins, P&L, expense trends, receivable/payable ageing, cash flow and working capital.
· Prepare monthly variance analysis against budgets/prior periods, highlight issues and provide clear commentary to support management decisions.
Taxation, Audits & Team Leadership
· Own end-to-end Indian taxation compliance relevant to the business, including GST, TDS/TCS, input tax credit, tax reconciliations, statutory payments, return filings and assessments/notices, with consultant support where required.
· Coordinate statutory/tax audits, finalisation schedules and supporting records; allocate responsibilities, review team output and drive process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
· 7–12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including hands-on retail and e-commerce accounting (mandatory); experience with GT and MT strongly preferred.
· Proven expertise in MIS reporting, independent month-end/quarter-end/year-end book closure, financial statements, ledger scrutiny, audit schedules and working-capital reporting.
· End-to-end practical knowledge of Indian taxation (including GST, TDS and TCS) and complete e-commerce reconciliation processes; hands-on Tally Prime and Tally Edit Log mandatory.
· Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF); experience with POS, Unicommerce, Zoho, SAP Business One or similar ERP tools is an advantage.
· Ability to independently manage an accounting team, coordinate cross-functionally and present actionable financial information to the CFO.
Education & Other Preferences
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field; CA Inter or higher qualification preferred (including qualified CA / CMA).
Strong attention to detail, ownership and deadline
