Job Description

Position: Accounts Executive

Yangpoo is a premium career counselling and university representation company helping students and working professionals to select the best courses from leading MBA colleges and Universities. We represent brands like NMIMS Global, Welingkar Institute of Management, Manipal University and others.

We are currently hiring an accountant to manage the day to day accounting requirements of our company.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable and reconciliation tasks. The Accounts Executive will collaborate closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software (Tally), and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.

Prepare and issue revenue invoices to customers.

Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, Employee Reimbursements Checking and Timely payments.

2. Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits or regulatory requirements.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

3. General Ledger Maintenance:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Record journal entries for transactions and adjustments. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

4. Bank Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

To have basic knowledge of GST / TDS / PF / ESIC / PT

Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and inquiries.

Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and financial institutions.

Support the Finance Manager in special projects or initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience min 2 years working in an accounting or finance role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software i.e. Tally

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

Remuneration & Benefits:

CTC: Up to 6 LPA

The salary range for this position will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
