Job Description

We are seeking a sharp and reliable Assistant Manager Accounts to lead day-to-day accounting operations, manage compliance, and support financial reporting across the company. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and external consultants to ensure timely bookkeeping, GST/TDS filings, and audit preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting entries and review books in Tally Prime
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking
  • Prepare GST workings, TDS filings, and coordinate with consultants for monthly returns
  • Perform bank reconciliations, vendor/customer account reconciliations
  • Maintain and verify ledgers, journals, and petty cash
  • Assist in monthly MIS preparation and expense tracking
  • Ensure timely closure of books and assist in statutory & internal audits
  • Liaise with vendors for balance confirmations and payment clarifications
  • Support finance automation processes and suggest improvements

Qualifications

  • 46 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup or mid-sized company
  • Strong hands-on experience in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic financial compliance
  • Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets
  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
