Job Description

Primary job title: Academic Counselor (Student Success & Admissions)

A high-impact role in the Education Services sector supporting student success, admissions, and career guidance across India. This on-site position sits within a fast-growing education and career outcomes organisation that partners with learners to deliver programme-fit recommendations, end-to-end admissions support, and ongoing academic guidance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one academic and career counselling sessions to evaluate student goals, recommend programmes, and create personalised learning/career plans.
  • Manage the end-to-end admissions lifecycle: respond to enquiries, assess eligibility, assist with applications/documentation, and close enrolments to meet targets.
  • Maintain and update student records in SIS and CRM; log interactions, monitor follow-ups, and report on conversion metrics and pipeline health.
  • Deliver group outreach activities information sessions, campus tours, and workshops to increase programme awareness and generate quality leads.
  • Coordinate with academic teams to escalate academic or welfare issues, arrange remedial support, and track student progress against learning plans.
  • Prepare weekly status reports, identify trends in enquiries and drop-offs, and recommend tactical improvements to counselling and admissions workflows.

Additional Qualifications (role Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in student counselling, admissions, or student support within an education or training environment.
  • Fluency in English and at least one major regional language; ability to work on-site across India and attend occasional events or fairs.
