About The Opportunity
We operate in the Education & Student Support sector, delivering on-site academic guidance, career counselling, and student success services across schools, coaching centres, and edtech partnerships in India. This role is central to improving learner outcomes, guiding stream and college choices, and supporting parental engagement to drive measurable academic progress.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one academic and career counselling sessions with students and parents to assess strengths, learning gaps, motivations, and goals.
- Design and implement personalised academic plans, study strategies, and milestone-based interventions; review and adjust plans regularly based on progress.
- Administer and interpret psychometric and aptitude assessments to inform subject-stream selection, course options, and career pathways.
- Maintain up-to-date student records, session notes, and progress dashboards in the CRM/LMS; generate reports for internal stakeholders and parents.
- Coordinate with teachers, mentors, and admissions teams to ensure intervention follow-through and timely referrals to tutoring, career workshops, or external resources.
- Lead group workshops and seminars on exam preparation, study skills, time management, and college admissions; support on-site enrolment objectives and counselling KPIs.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in academic counselling, student support, or career guidance (on-site).
- Proven ability to administer and interpret psychometric/aptitude assessments and translate results into actionable plans.
- Experience using CRM/LMS tools and maintaining accurate student records (Salesforce, Google Classroom or equivalent).
- Strong track record delivering measurable student improvement and successful college/stream placements.
- Comfortable conducting parent engagement sessions and coordinating with academic stakeholders.
Preferred
- Certification in career counselling, educational psychology, or counselling (e.g., recognized diplomas/certificates).
- Familiarity with Moodle or other learning management systems and experience running group workshops.
- Experience with college admissions counselling or competitive exam counselling (board exams, entrance tests).
