I. Job Summary
The Workday Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing Workday integrations with third-party systems. This role requires strong expertise in Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs, and HCM business processes. The engineer will work closely with global teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integration solutions while maintaining operational excellence across the Workday ecosystem.
II. Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and third-party applications, including complex Workday Studio integrations.
- Support existing integrations by performing troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Develop and manage integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, file-based (SFTP) mechanisms, and Boomerang integrations.
- Build, configure, and maintain Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations.
- Ensure monitoring, alerting, and operational stability for all Workday integration components.
- Work with HCM business processes including Absence, Talent, Compensation, and Payroll.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and remote teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with business needs.
- Maintain and enhance Workday security configurations (preferred/bonus).
- Document integration designs, configurations, and support procedures.

58 years of relevant experience in Workday integration development and support.
IV. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Workday Integration or HCM certifications (preferred).
Must Have
V. Skill Set Required:
- Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, and Workday APIs.
- Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, and SFTP-based integrations.
- Experience building and maintaining Boomerang integrations.
- Understanding of Workday HCM business processes including Absence, Talent, Compensation, and Payroll.
- Experience setting up monitoring and alerting for Workday integrations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with global teams.
Nice To Have
- Experience maintaining Workday Security.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Exposure to large-scale or global Workday implementations.
