Workday & HR Data Analysis
• Partner with HR and Technology stakeholders to define functional business requirements and specifications for changes across the HR data ecosystem, with Workday as the primary system of record.
• Perform end‑to‑end analysis of data issues originating in Workday, including root‑cause analysis, impact assessment, and coordination of remediation with technology teams.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Workday business processes, data models, and functional configurations.
• Support onboarding and offboarding of HR data assets as part of enterprise data transformation initiatives.
Data Analysis, MongoDB & API Integration Support
• Access, extract, and analyze data from multiple systems, primarily Workday, to support investigations, enhancements, and defect resolution.
• Utilize basic to intermediate MongoDB query skills to analyze data discrepancies, validate records, and support triage activities in downstream data platforms.
• Collaborate with technical teams on RESTful API–based integrations, supporting requirement definition, payload validation, and functional testing using tools such as Postman.
• Assist in validating data transformations and business rules across integrated systems.
Workday Reporting
• Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports (standard and custom) to support operational, analytical, and reconciliation needs.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure reports meet business and compliance expectations.
Requirements, Documentation & Agile Delivery
• Document business processes, data flows, and functional use cases related to HR data entry, updates, and consumption.
• Write clear, well‑structured user stories and acceptance criteria to support Agile delivery teams.
• Conduct fit‑gap analysis for existing data consumers and vendor reporting solutions to drive change management and solution alignment.
Testing & Quality Assurance
• Own and support UAT planning and execution, including creation of UAT test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Partner with HR and Technology testers to define functional, system, and integration testing strategies.
• Validate test results, log defects, support triage, and ensure timely resolution prior to production release.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation testing on large datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Stakeholder & Project Management
• Act as a key point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and expectations.
• Maintain and communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where required.
• Build strong working relationships across global HR, Technology, Data, and vendor teams.
• Facilitate working sessions, prepare agendas, and document outcomes and decisions.
• Proactively communicate progress, issues, and challenges to leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data‑driven or HR technology environments.
• Strong functional experience with Workday, including HR data concepts and business processes.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB for data analysis and issue investigation.
• Experience supporting RESTful API integrations and validating data exchanges
• Hands‑on experience with Workday report writing.
• Strong experience in UAT execution, including test plan creation and defect management.
• Solid understanding of HR data, data structures, and downstream data consumption.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts from a functional perspective.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice to Have
• Experience with system migrations or HR data transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tracking tools.
• Exposure to manual API testing tools such as Postman or Fiddler.
• Experience working in large, global enterprise environments.
