Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer who can build, customize, and maintain dynamic websites. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the full development lifecyclefrom theme creation to performance optimizationwhile ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and manage WordPress websites based on business requirements
- Build custom themes and templates from scratch
- Create and extend plugins, widgets, and custom post types
- Integrate and configure third-party tools and plugins
- Work with WooCommerce for e-commerce functionality (preferred)
- Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability
- Ensure responsive design across devices and browsers
- Implement RESTful APIs and handle data formats like JSON and HTTP requests
- Maintain and manage databases for efficient data handling
- Troubleshoot bugs and ensure smooth website functionality
- Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time
Technical Skills Required
- Strong command of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Working knowledge of jQuery, AJAX, and Bootstrap
- Deep understanding of WordPress core architecture, themes, and plugins
- Experience with custom development within WordPress ecosystem
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles
- Understanding of REST APIs and web services
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce and payment gateway integrations
- Familiarity with popular WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery)
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and website optimization techniques
- Knowledge of WordPress security best practices
- Awareness of web accessibility standards
