Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Administrator to provide comprehensive PLM application support and system administration for our global Windchill environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customization skills, expertise in managing Windchill infrastructure, and a proven ability to resolve user issues efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, performance, and alignment of our CAD and PDM/PLM systems with global technology and functional requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide PLM Application Support (Windchill 10.1):

  • Offer global support for all Windchill users.
  • Resolve problems and issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with PTC support for technical issue resolution.
  • Escalate problems to the Engineering Systems Manager as needed.
  • Implement fixes and/or workarounds to ensure system continuity.

Systems Administration:

  • Monitor server/system performance.
  • Manage Production, Test, and Staging environments.
  • Rehost Test and Staging instances as needed for development and testing.
  • Plan, Coordinate, and Implement global version upgrades, maintenance releases, and system configuration changes to keep CAD and PDM/PLM systems updated and globally aligned with technology functional requirements.
  • Maintain Windchill integration to Oracle ERP.
  • Assist in data migration as needed.

Windchill Customization:

  • Possess a sound understanding of Windchill customization (server & client).
  • Knowledge of InfoEngine is desired.

Application Training:

  • Engage in knowledge sharing activities.
  • Responsible for knowledge base creation/maintenance.
  • Provide training and technical consultation to users.
  • Handle user issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform Windchill business administration tasks.
  • Possess a fair bit of experience in Windchill Infrastructure (Rehosting, Vaulting).
  • Knowledge of ERP and MPMLink would be an added advantage.
