The role and responsibilities essentially includes-
- Perform gap analysis between expected and actual energy production for operational wind farms
- Analyse SCADA alarms and events to identify availability, performance, and downtime-related losses
- Support Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) and Energy Yield Analysis (EYA) for both operational and pre-operational projects
- Carry out Micrositing and wake analysis studies to assess layout performance and optimisation opportunities
- Conduct MCP (Measure-Correlate-Predict) analysis using met mast, SCADA, and long-term reference datasets
- Support turbine performance checks and loss breakdowns (availability, wake, curtailment, environmental losses, etc.)
- Prepare clear technical summaries, plots, and reports for internal teams and stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience -
- Experience working with operational wind farm data (SCADA + met mast)
- Strong understanding of:
- Wind resource assessment principles
- Energy yield analysis and uncertainty
- Wake losses and performance degradation
- Hands-on experience with alarms and events analysis
- Experience in Micrositing and MCP methodologies
Software & Tools -
-Proficient in Windographer
- Proficient in WindPRO
- Performance Check module experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Python for data processing, analysis, and automation
- Experience with Excel and technical reporting tools
