Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a skilled and experienced Weaving Engineer to manage the entire weaving team (warping, weaving reed, and weaving) and oversee all production processes. From the initial receipt of manufacturing files, you will ensure operations adhere strictly to cost, deadline, quality, and safety standards to achieve customer satisfaction. You will be a key leader on the production floor, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
Main Activities
- Team Management: Manage your team effectively, focusing on workload distribution, versatility, safety, working conditions, and ongoing training.
- Workshop Oversight: Oversee the weaving workshop and implement all necessary actions to achieve production objectives related to cost, deadline, and quality.
- Resource Management: Ensure the availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and small consumables, replenishing them as necessary to maintain operational flow.
- Problem Solving & Reporting: Proactively warn in case of potential failure to meet objectives (cost, deadline, quality) and propose effective solutions to address these issues in the best interest of all stakeholders.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical support and solutions as the authority in the field to anyone who requests it.
- Process Improvement: Be an active participant from the definition stage to the implementation of improvement actions (process, products, organization) within your shopfloor.
- Deadline Definition: Define precise manufacturing deadlines for all relevant stakeholders.
- Procedure & Training: Create clear operating procedures and effectively train your staff to ensure consistent execution.

- Provide regular and effective reporting to your manager and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate records of the quality tracking system are maintained.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Software Proficiency: Basic knowledge of an ERP system and Excel.
- Weaving Expertise: In-depth knowledge of weaving techniques.
- Machine Maintenance: Knowledge of machine maintenance procedures specific to the weaving sector (loom).
- Knowledge Transfer: Ability to effectively transfer knowledge within the sector.
- Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using appropriate measurement tools.
- Manual Skills: Good dexterity in handling and knotting wire, and strong visual acuity.
