Job Description
The Warehouse Inventory Control & Shipping Operations Lead is responsible for complete ownership of cycle count, inventory accuracy, MRB control, RTV, and finished goods shipping operations. You will ensure accurate SAP inventory, statutory-compliant documentation, shipments, and audit-ready warehouse processes through coordination with PCA, Production, Trade, and Quality teams.
You will report to the Warehouse Team Lead
You will work in Onsite work mode based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India.
Your Responsibilities:
- Cycle Count & Inventory Accuracy - Lead daily and weekly ABC cycle counts following procedure. Ensure SAP posting and maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Location Accuracy & Reconciliation - Lead location accuracy audits, investigate variances, perform stock reconciliation, and correct errors without impact to production or shipment.
- Physical Audit - Independently lead yearly physical inventory audits and ensure variance closure and compliance.
- MRB Control - Maintain MRB stock, bin locations, movement control, and SAP posting accuracy. Ensure physical and system stock agreement.
- Scrap Management - Maintain scrap documentation and disposal strictly following approved procedures and QMS requirements.
- RTV Management - Coordinate with PCA and Trade teams to plan vehicles, process domestic and export RTV, and ensure clearance.
- FG Shipping Operations - Lead finished goods dispatch operations and ensure shipment following customer and production requirements.
- Ship Documentation - Coordinate with PCA and Production teams to receive shipment notifications and prepare complete FG shipment documentation.
- SAP & Statutory Documentation - Ownership of invoice creation in SAP WM & IM, including tax invoice, e-way bill, packing slip generation, and record maintenance.
- Coordination - Work with PCA, Production, Trade, Quality, and Finance teams for smooth inventory and shipping operations.
- SOP, Training & Continuous Improvement - Develop SOPs/WIs, conduct team training, implement lean processes, 5S, Kaizen, and improvement suggestions.
- QMS & Audits - Prepare and maintain QMS documents related to inventory and shipping. Support internal and external audits.
- Reporting and KPIs - Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs covering cycle count accuracy, location accuracy, inventory variance, RTV turnaround, shipping adherence, and compliance metrics.
System & Technical Skills
SAP WM & IM - Advanced (Mandatory), MS Excel (Advanced), MS PowerPoint, MS Word
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Diploma or Degree with warehouse and inventory control knowledge.
- Minimum 12 years of experience manufacturing warehouse inventory management, audit handling, and shipping operations
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting, presentations, and pipeline tracking
- Structured, data-driven approach to tracking pipeline and sales metrics
