Role Summary
To lead and manage the billing function for GPL ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes aligned with project progress, construction partner agreements, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end billing processes for all ongoing and completed projects.
- Ensure timely review and approval of contractor/vendor bills as per agreed contract terms (RA Bills, Final Bills, etc.).
- Coordinate with project teams, QS (Quantity Surveyors), and site engineers for work progress certification.
- Validate and reconcile quantities and rates as per BOQ and work orders.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to GST and other statutory requirements in billing.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, vendor disputes, and internal controls.
- Ensure billing formats and processes comply with organisation standards and establish standards as deemed may be.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments (Finance, Legal, Projects) for billing-related matters.
- Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- MIS & Reporting:
- Prepare and present billing status reports, aging analysis, and cash flow projections.
- Track billing milestones and ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the billing team at HO & Zones.
- Implement process improvements and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction billing practices, BOQ, RA Bills, and contract management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical & Electrical
- Experience: Experience in billing within the real estate or construction industry. Proven track record of handling large-scale residential/commercial/infrastructure projects.
