Visual Merchandising

Location: Gurgaon

Reporting To: Head of Digital Merchandising

Stakeholders: Production, NPD, Category, Studio, Central Visual Merchandising Team

Role Overview

We are looking for a Visual Merchandising person who will act as the central visual and product knowledge owner for new product launches, while also managing studio execution and end-to-end merchandising for one assigned platform.

This role is based at our manufacturing unit in Gandhinagar and will work closely with Production and NPD teamsto deeply understand new products, customer use-cases, and pain points. The role will translate this understanding into clear product inputs, shoot briefs, and merchandising direction for studio teams and central visual merchandisers responsible for go-live.

In addition, the role will own studio operations and full visual merchandising for one platform, ensuring timelines, quality, and conversion-focused execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Immersion & NPD Alignment (Upstream Ownership)

Work Closely With Production And NPD Teams To

Understand new products in depth (materials, construction, use-cases, limitations)

Participate early in the new product development and launch planning

Act as the visual merchandising representative in NPD discussions

Identify customer pain points, FAQs, and objections during the product creation phase

Ensure merchandising considerations are baked into product decisions wherever possible

  • Product Knowledge & Information Dissemination (Central Source of Truth)

Act as the single point of product understanding for new launches

Share Structured Inputs With Central Visual Merchandisers, Including

Product USPs and differentiators

Customer pain points and use-cases

Visual storytelling angles

Dos and don'ts for merchandising

Ensure that go-live Visual Merchandisers have complete clarity before execution

Maintain clear documentation and briefs to avoid last-minute clarifications and rework

  • Studio Briefing & Shoot Enablement

Coordinate With Production To

Get physical samples developed and approved for studio shoots

Ensure sample readiness aligns with launch timelines

Create And Share Detailed Shoot Briefs Covering

Product angles and focus areas

Feature callouts

Installation or usage scenarios

Customer-facing storytelling

Brief Studio Teams (photographers, Videographers, Editors) On

Product knowledge

Visual expectations

Quality benchmarks

Act as the bridge between product reality and visual representation

  • Studio Operations & Execution Ownership

Own Day-to-day Studio Operations, Including

Shoot planning and scheduling

Timelines and prioritization

Product movement and handling

Ensure Alignment Between

Production timelines

NPD readiness

Category launch plans

Manage stakeholders across Production, Category, and Studio to meet committed timelines

Provide Art Direction During Shoots To Ensure

Accurate product representation

Brand alignment

Conversion-focused visuals

Ensure studio output meets quality, consistency, and SLA benchmarks

  • Platform Ownership – End-to-End Visual Merchandising

Own Complete Visual Merchandising For One Assigned Platform, Including

Homepage merchandising

PLP/CLP visuals and structure

PDP flow and storytelling

Coordinate with central Visual Merchandising teams for execution and go-live

Ensure The Platform Reflects

Correct product positioning

Updated visuals and content

Launch priorities and category focus

Track Performance Metrics Such As

PDP ATC%

PLP CTR

Engagement and scroll depth

Continuously optimize visuals based on performance and customer behavior

  • Stakeholder & Timeline Management

Act As a Single Coordinating Owner Across

Tools & Exposure (Good to Have)

Working Knowledge Of

Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator

Hands-on design execution is not mandatory, but conceptual understanding is required
