Founded in 2016 by Simran Lal and Raul Rai, Nicobar is a modern, mindful, design-led lifestyle brand from India.

We wanted to create a new Indian sensibility that wasn't necessarily Westernised.

We're reimagining a contemporary Indian way of living, dressing, and looking at the worldrooted in culture, shaped by design, and guided by intention. At Nicobar, we believe in culture as much as commerce, and that how we build is just as important as what we build.

Our studio is tucked away in Tulsi Farms, Chhatarpur, Delhi. Nestled among trees, seasonal gardens, a citrus grove, and our beloved dogs Nico & Dot, we call it the Treehouse. It earned its name when our architect reworked the blueprint to protect every single tree on the land. It's a space where creativity brims and energy flows.

IMPACT OF THE POSITION

The role will be responsible oversee the execution of visual merchandising strategies across stores in the

assigned region. The role will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays and layouts that attract

customers and enhance the overall shopping experience. Your goal is to drive sales and promote brand

awareness through effective visual merchandising techniques.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Visual Merchandising Execution

o Implement and maintain visual merchandising guidelines to ensure brand consistency

across stores.

o Develop and execute Visual Merchandising Guidelines including planograms, zoning, and

colour palette, signage standards, and display specifications strategies to ensure optimal

product placement and visual appeal.

o Curate and execute seasonal and campaign-based store displays, including window setups,

product styling, and storytelling installations.

o Ensure optimal product presentation, fixture placement, and space utilization to enhance

customer experience.

o Conduct store visits to assess visual merchandising effectiveness and provide

recommendations for improvements.

Collaboration & Training

o Work closely with the Retail and Buying teams to ensure product alignment with brand

aesthetics.

o Ensure seamless integration of apparel and home categories within the store's visual

merchandising framework.

o Train in-store teams on VM principles, product placements, and brand styling guidelines.

o Collaborate with the Marketing team to integrate digital and in-store campaigns seamlessly.

New Store Openings & Special Projects

o Lead the visual setup for new store launches, ensuring brand identity is well-established.

o Assist in executing pop-ups, collaborations, and special in-store activations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

3-10 years of experience in Visual Merchandising/interior styling preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or

home categories.

Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of contemporary retail trends.

Ability to translate brand storytelling into engaging visual displays.

Hands-on experience in store layout planning, styling, fixture management, planogramming, and

zoning.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in design software (Adobe Suite, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus.

Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
