About CareFi

CareFi is India's first instant hospital discharge platform, built to solve one of the most frustrating experiences in healthcare — the hours-long wait to get discharged from a hospital even after the doctor has cleared you.

We partner with leading hospitals across India to give insurance patients a 10-minute discharge experience. Patients are onboarded in 2 steps at admission, walk out without the long waiting time, and settle their dues from home within 7 days.

With 60,000+ patients served across 10+ cities and a network of top hospitals including Apollo, Manipal, Fortis, Narayana, Aster, CareFi is growing fast. We are now building the marketing function from the ground up — and this is one of the first hires on that team.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Graphic Designer to create high-quality static visual assets across digital and print touchpoints. This role sits at the intersection of brand, marketing, growth, and product, and is responsible for translating briefs, campaign goals, and brand guidelines into clear, compelling, platform-ready designs.

The role is a founding marketing design role responsible for shaping CareFi's visual language across brand, growth, product, hospital, and patient communication touchpoints covering social media creatives, paid ads, website and landing-page visuals, emailers, presentations, infographics, and brand collateral that support campaigns, launches, and ongoing business needs. This is a hands-on founding design role where you will build CareFi's visual identity from scratch and turn it into a scalable design system across digital, print, product, and hospital touchpoints.

CareFi's end customer is a real person in a high-stress moment — and every visual this role produces must earn their trust instantly. This requires someone who has designed for consumers before, understands how emotion drives visual response, and knows the difference between design that looks good in a portfolio and design that works in the wild.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Identity

  • Build CareFi's visual identity from the ground up — logo system, color palette, typography, iconography, and visual tone guidelines.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive brand guideline document that ensures consistency across every touchpoint.
  • Create reusable templates for social media, ads, presentations, hospital collateral, landing pages, and internal communication.
  • Evolve the brand as the company scales, while maintaining recognizability and trust.

Concept & Design Execution

  • Translate briefs and campaign objectives into strong visual concepts, layouts, and final assets.
  • Develop campaign key visuals and adapt them into channel-ready assets across paid ads, social, landing pages, WhatsApp, email, print, and hospital collateral.
  • Design static creatives across formats: social media, ads, website assets, emailers, presentations, infographics, brochures, and sales collateral.
  • Contribute to campaign visual directions, hooks, layouts, CTA treatments, and storytelling formats.

Multi-Channel Adaptation

  • Adapt designs across platforms, formats, and aspect ratios (social, web, ads, print).
  • Create multiple creative variants for performance campaigns and A/B testing across hooks, formats, CTAs, and visual hierarchy.

Brand Consistency & Systems

  • Apply and maintain brand guidelines across all outputs.
  • Build reusable templates and scalable design systems where applicable.
  • Ensure consistency in typography, color, layout, and visual identity.

Production & Delivery

  • Deliver platform-ready assets with correct sizing, formats, and exports.
  • Own final quality checks for spelling, alignment, sizing, margins, legibility, brand consistency, export formats, print bleed, and platform specifications.
  • Maintain organized source files, version control, and asset libraries.
  • Maintain a clean, searchable design repository with editable source files, final exports, reusable templates, and version naming hygiene.

Collaboration & Iteration

  • Work closely with growth/performance marketing, hospital sales/on-ground teams, customer support, and product teams.
  • Work with copy/content teams to improve copy-visual alignment and make communication clearer, more trustworthy, and more conversion-friendly.
  • Present design concepts and iterate based on structured feedback.
  • Align creative output with campaign goals and timelines.

Creative Contribution & Improvement

  • Contribute ideas to improve campaign visuals and storytelling.
  • Stay updated on design trends and selectively apply them - bring consumer-brand references, competitor examples, and category design inspiration to improve Care.Fi's creative output.
  • Continuously improve efficiency and quality of creative output - Use basic campaign feedback such as CTR, conversion, engagement, and drop-offs to improve future creative directions.

Social Media & Digital

  • Design social media content for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn — feed posts, stories, reels thumbnails, carousel templates - YouTube thumbnails, Google Display ads, Meta ads, LinkedIn lead-gen creatives, and short-form static-to-motion adaptations.
  • Design app-store screenshots and app listing visuals for conversion-focused storytelling across iOS and Android.
  • Design WhatsApp message visuals and notification graphics.

Consumer Growth & Product Communication

  • Design mobile-first assets across the consumer journey — acquisition, onboarding, activation, discharge communication, claim education, and retention.
  • The assets include paid ads, app banners, in-app cards, onboarding visuals, push notification creatives, WhatsApp journeys, landing-page assets, referral creatives, and patient education visuals.
  • Create visuals that simplify healthcare, insurance, discharge, and claim-related processes for patients and caregivers.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves

  • 4 to 6 years of graphic design experience, with at least 2 of those years spent in a consumer-facing brand or product — FMCG, consumer health, D2C, consumer fintech, consumer app, or equivalent.
  • Strong command of Figma for digital design and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for print-ready vector artwork.
  • Print production knowledge — you understand bleed, CMYK colour mode, and resolution requirements and can send files to a vendor without a round of corrections.
  • Experience building a brand identity from scratch — logo system, colour palette, typography guidelines.
  • Ability to design across both small format (A5, tent card) and large format (standees, banners) with appropriate hierarchy for each.
  • Workflow & Ownership - Ability to manage multiple briefs simultaneously with strong deadline management and the ability to work independently within defined brand systems.
  • Works independently from a brief — can make creative decisions without needing constant direction or committee approval. Ability to work in a high-speed startup environment with quick turnarounds, multiple stakeholders, and frequent iteration.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to iterate quickly without ego.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating consumer-facing work — social media creatives, campaign assets, and brand communication that was designed for an end consumer audience. Work from healthcare, insurance, fintech, or consumer health categories is particularly relevant (Portfolio submission is mandatory).
  • Experience with performance marketing creatives - ads, A/B testing variants.
  • Mobile First Design- Experience designing mobile-first marketing assets such as app banners, landing-page sections, WhatsApp creatives, push-notification visuals, and app-store screenshots.
  • Ability to simplify complex information visually for patients, caregivers, and hospital stakeholders.

Good to have

  • UI/UX or web-support design — landing pages, app visuals, onboarding screens, in-app banners, app-store screenshots, and basic UI components.
  • Basic motion/video skills - Ability to convert static assets into lightweight motion formats such as GIFs, animated stories, simple reels, looping graphics, and short ad edits.
  • Exposure to healthcare, consumer app, insurance, hospital, or financial-services communication.
  • Familiarity with CMS, DAM tools, or AI-assisted design workflows
  • Basic video editing skills using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or CapCut for short-form social content.
  • Basic motion graphics — ability to animate a static post into a simple reel or looping graphic.
  • Experience designing for vernacular or regional Indian audiences —understanding how visual hierarchy, colour, and iconography land differently across cultural contexts.
  • AI-Assisted Design & Speed (Critical Requirement)

      - Strong working proficiency with AI-powered design tools to accelerate creative production and iteration speed, not to replace design judgment.

      - Should know when AI output is usable, when it needs refinement, and when human-led craft is required.

      - Ability to use AI for:

       - Rapid concept generation (visual directions, layouts, styles)

      - Creative variations for campaigns (ads, social, thumbnails, etc.)

      - Background generation, image enhancement, and asset creation

      - Copy-visual alignment (working with AI-generated text + visuals)

·      Familiarity with tools such as:

- Midjourney / DALL·E / Stable Diffusion (or equivalent)

      - Adobe Firefly / AI features within Adobe Suite

      - AI-enabled Canva / Figma plugins
