Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Video Production

  • Plan, shoot, and produce professional-quality video content for university marketing, communications, admissions, and academic departments.
  • Capture interviews, lectures, campus events, ceremonies, conferences, and promotional content.
  • Operate and maintain cameras, audio equipment, lighting setups, drones (where licensed and permitted), and related production gear.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.
  • Ensure visual consistency with the university's brand guidelines.

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into engaging videos for multiple platforms, including websites, social media, digital advertising, and presentations.
  • Perform color correction, color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, and basic visual effects.
  • Create subtitles, captions, lower-thirds, and branded graphics.
  • Optimize video formats and specifications for various distribution channels.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery of content.

Content Development

  • Work closely with marketing, admissions, student affairs, and academic departments to identify storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop creative concepts that highlight the university's mission, achievements, and campus experience.
  • Support live-streaming and hybrid event productions when required.
  • Maintain an organized archive of video assets and project files.

Technical & Administrative Duties

  • Manage video equipment inventory and maintenance schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production.
  • Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, accessibility, and media usage policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, and production partners as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating filming, editing, storytelling, and motion graphics skills.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with professional camera systems, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Knowledge of video codecs, formats, and digital content publishing.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
