Job Summary
The
Lead Automotive Photographer & Videographer will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing automotive photography and video production projects for global automotive clients. The role includes managing photography operations, ensuring image and video quality standards, coordinating with dealerships and internal stakeholders, mentoring photography teams, and delivering high-quality visual content aligned with OEM and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and mentor Automotive Photographers, Assistant Photographers, and Scanner Technicians.
- Plan and manage photography schedules, studio resources, and manpower allocation.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with dealer and client requirements.
- Support onboarding, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Automotive Photography
- Capture high-quality exterior, interior, detail, and 360 vehicle images.
- Perform studio, outdoor, and on-location automotive photography.
- Coordinate dealer appointments and maintain strong dealership relationships.
- Ensure consistency in lighting, color reproduction, framing, and image quality.
- Conduct vehicle preparation, including alignment, cleaning, and reflection checks.
- Manage image metadata, file naming conventions, and asset uploads.
Videography & Content Production
- Plan and execute corporate and automotive video projects.
- Develop concepts, storyboards, scripts, and shot plans.
- Shoot customer stories, leadership messages, factory tours, and promotional videos.
- Operate cameras, gimbals, audio equipment, and lighting systems.
- Edit videos, perform color correction, sound synchronization, and motion graphics.
- Create content for websites, YouTube, LinkedIn, and social media channels.
Technical Skills
- Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Lightroom; Adobe Premiere Pro; Adobe After Effects; Adobe Media Encoder
- Capture One (preferred)
- DaVinci Resolve (good to have)
Equipment Expertise
- DSLR / Mirrorless Cameras (Canon, Sony, Nikon)

Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Photography, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Film Production, Mass Communication, or related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Photography/Videography preferred.
- Minimum 6 10 years of professional photography and videography experience.
- At least 1 year of automotive photography experience preferred.
- Prior team leadership experience preferred.
