Role Overview

We're looking for a full-time Video Editor who will primarily work on performance ads for Meta (Instagram, Facebook) and Google (YouTube, Display, Shorts). This role sits at the intersection of culture + conversion, requiring a sharp eye for pacing, hooks, and platform-first editing.

You'll be responsible for turning raw footage, product drops, and campaign ideas into high-performing ad creatives optimised for scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form performance videos for Meta & Google platforms
  • Create multiple ad variations from a single asset (hooks, cutdowns, formats)
  • Optimise videos for platform-specific best practices (aspect ratios, safe zones, pacing)
  • Work closely with the marketing, performance, and creative teams to align edits with campaign goals
  • Add motion graphics, text overlays, captions, and transitions that improve retention and CTR
  • Understand and apply ad-first storytelling (strong first 23 seconds, clear product focus, CTA clarity)
  • Edit content across formats:
  • Product ads
  • Sale & offer creatives
  • Brand campaigns
  • Creator/influencer-led content
  • Maintain fast turnaround times without compromising quality
  • Organise project files and follow brand visual guidelines consistently

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in DTC, fashion, lifestyle, or performance marketing
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects (Final Cut optional)
  • Solid understanding of Meta & Google ad formats and how people consume short-form content
  • Ability to edit for attention, speed, and clarity
  • Comfortable working with data-backed feedback (iterations based on performance)
  • Strong sense of typography, rhythm, and visual hierarchy
  • Interest in sneakers, streetwear, and youth culture is a big plus

Good to Have

  • Experience editing UGC or creator-led ads
  • Basic motion design skills (animated text, graphic elements)
  • Understanding of A/B testing creatives
  • Familiarity with performance metrics like hook retention, CTR, thumb-stop rate
