About StockGro

Founded in January 2020 by former venture capitalist Ajay Lakhotia, we're well-funded and just closed a massive Pre-Series A fundraise. About the role :

As a Video Editor for Social Media, you will transform recorded footage into compelling video content that aligns with the creative vision for various platforms, including Instagram and Twitter. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of our creative content by leveraging data insights to inform your editing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

● Edit and Enhance: Manipulate and edit video pieces to add visible value for the audience.

● Collaborate: Take briefs to understand the creative team's needs and specifications.

● Review and Select: Analyse shooting scripts and raw footage to create a shot decision list based on scene value and continuity.

● Sequence and Trim: Trim footage segments and assemble them into a coherent sequence.

● Add Elements: Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product.

● Create Cuts: Produce rough and final cuts that meet platform specifications.

● Ensure Flow: Maintain logical sequencing and smooth transitions.

● Consult: Work with stakeholders throughout the production and post-production process.

● Innovate: Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximise efficiency.

● Explore Formats: Take initiative in exploring and presenting new video content formats for social media.

Qualifications:

● Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of proven work experience as a Video Editor, with a bonus for social media work.

● Technical Skills: Proficient with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).

● Portfolio: Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.

● Knowledge: Thorough understanding of timing, motivation, and continuity.

● Special Effects: Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.

● Creativity: A creative mind with strong storytelling skills.
