Role Description:

The Senior Video Editor & Videographer is a full-time, on-site role in Kochi, working under the Social Media Manager. First and foremost, you are an expert editor who can cut videos rapidly, structure compelling narratives, and deliver finished content under tight deadlines—including same-day edits for live campus events.

Equally important, you must bring top-tier videography and directional skills to the table. When you step out from behind the editing desk, you will lead the camera work, control lighting and audio, and actively direct talent, students, and speakers on set during campus events, interviews, and workshops to capture high-quality raw footage that makes the editing process seamless.

Day-to-day tasks involve managing tight delivery schedules, directing and shooting on-set production, executing same-day edits, keeping project files organized, and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate post-production without sacrificing quality.

Requirements & Skills:

• Core Editing Mastery: Fast-paced cutting skills with a sharp eye for pacing, narrative structure, color grading, motion graphics, title cards, and text overlays.
• Pro Videography Skills: Advanced hands-on expertise with camera operation, cinematic composition, audio setup, and lighting for both indoor shoots and fast-moving live events.
• On-Set Direction: Strong directional ability to guide speakers, interviewees, and students, ensuring natural performances and strong visual storytelling on camera.
• Editing Software & AI Tools: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve, paired with effective use of modern AI tools to speed up editing and asset creation.
• Same-Day Turnaround: Proven capability to handle fast turnarounds, including turning live campus footage into fully edited, polished videos on the exact same day.
• Team Collaboration & File Management: Ability to work smoothly under the Social Media Manager, collaborate with marketing teams, and maintain organized project files and media libraries.
• Background: Experience in digital media, corporate production, or educational content creation, backed by a strong portfolio or relevant degree.
