About the Role:
We are looking for a creative and fast Video Editor who can craft scroll-stopping content for social media, ad campaigns, and brand films. You'll collaborate closely with designers and content teams to bring stories to life with impact and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Review raw footage and select the best shots to tell a strong visual story.
Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, ad campaigns, and brand films.
Add transitions, graphics, text overlays, animations, and special effects as required.
Sync footage with background scores, dialogues, and sound effects for smooth audio balance.
Perform basic color correction and grading to maintain a consistent, professional look.
Work closely with the creative director, graphic designers, and content strategists to ensure brand tone and message alignment.
Adapt videos for multiple dimensions and formats (9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, 16:9 widescreen) suited to each platform.
Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, and backups for easy workflow management.
Apply current trends from social media and pop culture to keep edits fresh and engaging.
Manage deadlines effectively while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to codecs, exports, or rendering errors.
Stay updated on new plugins, editing styles, and AI tools that can accelerate production.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Industry-Standard Software: Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and motion graphics.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of video editing principles including pacing, storytelling, sequencing, and composition. Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and export settings.
Color Correction and Grading: Ability to perform basic color grading to ensure visual consistency and mood enhancement using tools like DaVinci Resolve or built-in software capabilities.
Sound Editing and Mixing: Basic knowledge of audio editing, including syncing dialogue, adding background music, sound effects, and cleaning audio tracks for clarity and quality.
Motion Graphics and Visual Effects: Experience or familiarity with adding motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and simple visual effects to videos (preferably via After Effects or equivalent).
Adaptability to Formats: Skilled at adapting videos to multiple screen formats such as 9:16 for stories, 1:1 for social feeds, and 16:9 for widescreens.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous with edits, transitions, and color-grade consistency to ensure polished final products.
Storytelling Instinct: Strong narrative sense to turn raw footage into engaging, coherent visual stories that resonate with audiences.
Time Management: Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
Feedback Responsiveness: Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback quickly to improve output iteratively.
Organizational Skills: Maintain well-organized project files, assets, and workflow for smooth team collaboration and future edits.
Basic Troubleshooting: Handle common technical issues with software, file formats, rendering, and exports.
Bonus: Additional skillset of Motion Graphics would be an advantage.
