About the Role-
We are looking for a Vice President for School Subscriptions to drive the growth of our B2B school subscription business. This role will be responsible for defining the subscription sales strategy, leading the team, and ensuring consistent revenue growth, while aligning closely with the overall company strategy and senior leadership.
The VP will be a senior leader within the Sales function, accountable for building scalable models, driving partnerships with schools, and mentoring managers/associates to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities-
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Define short and mid-term strategies to acquire and retain schools.
- Create scalable sales playbooks and processes for the team.
- Drive revenue growth by meeting monthly/quarterly subscription targets.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor Sales Managers and Associates across geographies.
- Build a performance-driven culture with clear goals and reviews.
- Collaborate with HR to drive training and incentive structures.
Market Development
- Build relationships with large school chains, associations, and decision-makers.
- Identify high-potential clusters/regions for expansion.
- Develop strong industry visibility through events, conferences, and networks.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with Operations for smooth onboarding and servicing of schools.
- Partner with Marketing for lead generation and brand visibility.
- Align with Product/Academics teams to customize solutions for schools.
Reporting & Governance
- Track KPIs like subscriptions closed, revenue achieved, and renewal rates.
- Provide monthly/quarterly business reports and forecasts to leadership.
KPIs / Success Measures
- Revenue from new school subscriptions.
- Renewal and retention rate of subscribed schools.
- Expansion into new states/clusters.
- Team performance and sales productivity.
- Overall profitability of the subscription vertical.
What We're Looking For-
- 10+ years in B2B sales to schools/educational institutions.
- Proven experience in scaling education products/services in the K-12 sector.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and large accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- MBA/PG in Sales/Marketing preferred.
