Core Focus: Structural Modeling, Rebar Detailing, & Automated Data Extraction Location: Chennai, India
The MissionAt Modulus Housing, our BIM models are the Source Code for our factory. We are looking for a BIM Design Engineer who can bridge the gap between complex structural engineering (LGSF, PEB, Concrete) and automated manufacturing.
You aren't just a modeller; you are a data architect. Your goal is a Zero-Manual-Entry workflow where the model drives the procurement and production through automated takeoffs.
Key Responsibilities- High-Fidelity Modeling: Build and manage LOD 400+ models for LGSF, PEB, and Concrete Pods in Revit.
- Automated BOM & Takeoffs: Develop and maintain specialised Revit Schedules and Shared Parameters to generate 100% accurate, real-time Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Takeoffs (MTO).
- Precision Detailing: Execute complex Rebar Detailing and generate automated Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) that link directly to production.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless coordination between Architectural, Structural, and MEP elements to eliminate field clashes.
- Workflow Innovation: Use automation tools to reduce manual counting and human error in material estimation.
The Skillset & Tools- The Master Tool:Revit (Structure) – Expert level in families, shared parameters, and complex scheduling.
- The Data Tool:Advanced MS Excel / Power BI – For processing exported BIM data into production-ready BOMs.
- The Automation Edge: Proficiency in Dynamo (for automating rebar or takeoff tasks) is a major advantage.
- The Coordination Stack:Navisworks Manage for clash detection and Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360).
- Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of LGSF sections, PEB components, and Rebar grades.
