Job Description

About Bez

Bez empowers jewellers to use AI to their advantage, creating the future of product design. Our platform helps teams generate original designs, manufacturing-ready specs (CAD/CAM compatible outputs), and marketing visuals faster while staying consistent with each brand's aesthetic. We work with leading diamond manufacturers & retailers and are scaling rapidly. Bez AI is supported by Macroscopic Ventures and Leap Year.

What we're hiring for

We're looking for an S-tier UI/UX Designer to audit our current product and deliver high-impact UX improvements and not just visuals. This is a contract role, ideal for someone who's designed at high-usage consumer products (food delivery / fintech / marketplaces) and knows how to drive clarity, speed, and conversion through UX.

If you've worked at Zomato / Swiggy / similar (or shipped products at that quality bar), you'll likely feel at home.

What you'll do

  • Deep product UX audit: review current flows end-to-end (onboarding generation edit/iterate export/share).
  • Identify friction + ambiguity and propose workflow fixes (not just UI polish).
  • Redesign key surfaces: information architecture, navigation, states, empty states, error handling, prompts/controls, versioning.
  • Improve power-user experiences: faster iteration, comparison, history, collections, exports.
  • Partner with engineering to ship quickly: crisp specs, Figma handoff, edge cases, QA.

What success looks like (in 26 weeks)

  • Clear before/after on a few core flows with measurable outcomes (activation, time-to-first-output, drop-offs, repeat usage).
  • Reduced cognitive load: users understand what to do next without asking.
  • A prioritized roadmap of UX fixes + a shippable plan (quick wins + deeper changes).
  • A product that feels premium + fast even for complex AI workflows.

Required

  • Strong product thinking: you design for behavior + outcomes, not aesthetics alone.
  • Demonstrable experience shipping UX improvements in real products (portfolio with impact stories).
  • Excellent interaction design: flows, states, hierarchy, feedback, constraints.
  • Fast, practical execution in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout).
  • Comfort working with ambiguous problems and iterating with real users/data.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-frequency consumer apps (delivery/marketplaces) or B2B tools with complex workflows.
  • You've designed tools for creators/editors (multi-step generation, history, versions, export).
  • Familiarity with AI product UX patterns (controllability, confidence, iteration loops).

Engagement details

  • Contract role with flexibility and option for full time employment.
  • High ownership + direct founder collaboration.
  • Opportunity to shape core UX of an AI product used by real manufacturers/retail teams.
  • Get access to unlimited AI tools & freedom to unleash your creativity.
