US-HR Team Lead
ROLE SUMMARY
This role oversees and is responsible for the day-to-day execution and compliance of all U.S. HR operations. This role owns onboarding, offboarding, personnel file integrity, JobDiva HR controls, immigration coordination, and operational HR execution for both consultants and internal employees.
This position serves as the primary operational arm of US HR, ensuring policies, processes, and compliance requirements are consistently executed and audit-ready. The US-HR does not set the overall people strategy but is accountable for ensuring it is implemented correctly and reliably.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own U.S. onboarding and offboarding processes for: W2 consultants, and Internal U.S. employees
- Oversee US HR team responsible for processing onboarding and offboarding; act as trainer and back-up
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Recruiting, Sales, Finance, and Contracts to ensure smooth transitions
- Serve as the approving authority for all U.S. assignments and rates within JobDiva. Validate employment type, pay/bill rates, assignment dates/extensions
- Conduct regular audits of U.S. personnel files to confirm compliance and readiness.
- Enforce system discipline and flag gaps, missing documentation, or process deviations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all U.S. immigration-related matters, including visa letters, H-1B applications, extensions, and amendments.
- Coordinate with external immigration counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Track immigration timelines, documentation, and renewal requirements.
- Ensure accurate records and timely execution of immigration processes.
- Support the HR Business Partner with U.S. benefits administration, including general administration and open enrollment execution
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Support employee relations matters under the direction of the HR Business Partner.
- Assist with policy creation, updates, communication, and roll out
- Ensure policies are consistently applied and clearly communicated.
- Support company culture initiatives, engagement activities, and internal HR programs, providing operational support to ensure initiatives are implemented as intended.
India HR Collaboration
- Provide support to the India HR team as needed, including cross-border process alignment, policy interpretation/clarification, data requests & reporting. Act as a U.S. HR liaison for India-based HR stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on U.S. HR operations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience supporting U.S. staffing, consulting, or professional services environments preferred
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment practices, HR compliance and documentation standards, Immigration coordination (H-1B lifecycle exposure required)
- Hands-on experience with ATS/HR systems; JobDiva experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
