Role Description The Unit Manager / Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for driving sales and business growth for ICICI Prudential Life's insurance products. This role involves managing and developing a team of sales advisors, setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and coaching to achieve business objectives. The manager will identify and engage prospective customers, conduct meetings and presentations to understand their financial needs, and recommend suitable life insurance solutions. Daily activities include pipeline management, tracking conversions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and maintaining strong customer relationships for retention and cross-selling. The role also requires coordination with internal stakeholders for training, product updates, and reporting on sales performance and market feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in life insurance, financial services, or related sectors, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong team management and leadership abilities, including experience in recruiting, training, and motivating sales teams or advisors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Sound understanding of financial planning concepts and willingness to learn product features and regulatory requirements in life insurance.
- Good analytical and planning skills, including the ability to manage pipelines, forecast sales, and prepare performance reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site fieldwork in Ahmedabad, including regular client meetings, local market engagement, and collaboration with branch teams.
