Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our underwriting team across various lines of business, including, Commercial Lines, Non-EB, and Property. As an Underwriter at Metier Insurance Broking, you will be responsible for evaluating risks, determining policy terms, and pricing, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders. Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate/MBA, or any related degree preferred.
- Certifications in underwriting or insurance-related qualifications are a plus.
Experience:
- 5 to 6 years of underwriting experience in any of the following sectors: Commercial Lines (Non-EB), or Property.
- Fresh graduates with relevant education will also be considered.
Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of risk assessment, policy pricing, and underwriting processes.
- Knowledge of underwriting software and tools is an advantage.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in underwriting activities and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate risks for health, engineering, commercial, and property insurance policies.
- Issue policies and endorsements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with clients and brokers to gather information and tailor underwriting decisions.
