Key Responsibilities
Wireframe and Prototype Design
- Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes to visualize the layout and flow of web-based applications.
- Develop interactive prototypes to demonstrate user navigation and functionality.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, developers, and users.
- Requirement Analysis
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Being a good team player is crucial.
- Analyze user needs, workflows, and pain points to inform wireframe design.
UX and UI Alignment
- Ensure wireframes are aligned with UX principles, accessibility standards, and branding guidelines.
- Provide guidance on visual hierarchy, user flow, and interaction patterns.
- Collaboration with Development Teams
- Work closely with front-end and back-end developers to ensure the feasibility of designs.
- Communicate design ideas clearly through annotations, user flows, and detailed specifications.
Research and Trends
- Stay updated on the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and techniques.
- Apply innovative design approaches to create modern and efficient user experiences.
- Delivery Commitment:
- Own and deliver tasks on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and roadblocks to stakeholders.
- Required Skills
- Design Tools Expertise: Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq or Axure. Able to create/edit images through GIMP.
- UX/UI Principles: Strong understanding of user experience design, usability testing, and interaction design.
- Information Architecture: Ability to organize and structure content effectively to ensure intuitive navigation.
- Web Technologies Awareness: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate with developers effectively.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating clear design specifications and annotations for development teams.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present design concepts and ideas.
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of web content accessibility guideline standards (WCAG).
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches.
- Basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
