Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Transition Manager, you will be responsible for transitioning complex IT landscapes from client organizations or incumbent suppliers to IBM or IBM host country to IBM Client Innovation centers. You will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of transition services, utilizing established agile transition methodology to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Transition Projects: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of transition services, managing scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables for the transition phase.
  • Provide Project Direction: Apply consistent project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management, while providing day-to-day direction to the project team.
  • Develop Project Plans: Create project plans for ITIL process transformation or adoption, utilizing tools such as project management software and IT service management platforms.
  • Analyze Client Business Issues: Use analysis skills to assess clients business issues and determine the best transition solutions.
  • Collaborate with Clients: Provide regular project status updates to clients, ensuring a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • IT Service Delivery Processes: Experience with IT service delivery processes, including IT Governance, SLAs, KPIs, and other relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Agile Transition Methodology: Experience in utilizing established agile transition methodology, activities, and work products to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.
  • Project Management Techniques: Experience with consistent project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
  • ITIL Process Transformation: Experience in developing project plans for ITIL process transformation or adoption, utilizing tools such as project management software and IT service management platforms.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Experience in using analysis skills to assess clients business issues and determine the best transition solutions.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • IT Service Management Platforms: Experience with IT service management platforms and tools, such as project management software, to support ITIL process transformation or adoption.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience in utilizing agile methodologies, activities, and work products to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities in IT transitions.
  • IT Governance Frameworks: Experience with IT governance frameworks, including SLAs and KPIs, to ensure effective IT service delivery.
