Job Title: Trainer - Pharma Manufacturing Technician

Position Overview
The Pharma Manufacturing Technician Trainer will be responsible for delivering structured training programs for students and job aspirants preparing for roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role focuses on building technical knowledge, practical capability, and compliance awareness in areas such as CGMP, SOPs, equipment handling, batch manufacturing processes, and workplace safety. The trainer will also support learner assessments, on-the-job training, and continuous improvement of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Design and deliver structured training programs for learners preparing for entry-level roles in pharma manufacturing.
- Conduct classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, simulation-based learning, and on-the-job training support.
- Train learners on SOPs, batch manufacturing records, equipment operation, safety protocols, and shop-floor discipline.
- Provide exposure to key manufacturing processes such as granulation, compression, coating, filling, and packaging.
- Create learner-friendly training materials including presentations, job aids, competency checklists, and e-learning content.
Training Administration
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, certifications, and training completion.
- Track learner progress through quizzes, practical evaluations, and performance indicators.
- Prepare periodic progress reports for program teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure training matrices are updated and aligned with role-specific competency requirements.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps among learners.
- Work with program teams, industry experts, and regulatory advisors to update content in line with industry practices and regulatory changes.
- Use blended learning, simulation, and cross-training methods to improve knowledge retention and employability outcomes.
- Support program reviews by identifying learning gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide learner support during OJT and help bridge classroom learning with workplace application.
Qualifications
- B.Pharm or M.Pharm preferred
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or Life Sciences
- Diploma in Pharmacy may also be considered
- Certification in Training & Development is an advantage
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- 1–3 years of experience in a training role preferred
- Hands-on exposure to solid dosage, sterile, or OSD manufacturing
- Familiarity with regulatory inspection environments such as USFDA, EU, or WHO is preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of cGMP, GDocP, and pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical processes, equipment, and manufacturing workflows
- Experience with LMS or Training Management Systems
- Ability to develop curriculum, assessments, and structured learning content
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and digital training tools
