Job Description: Automation Tester Lending Applications
Position Title: Automation Tester Lending Domain

Role Overview
The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for lending applications, including Loan Origination Systems (LOS - Web and Mobility), Loan Management Systems (LMS), underwriting platforms, credit decision engines, and collection systems. The role involves ensuring highquality delivery through automation, functional testing, and integration of quality practices across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Java/Python, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
- Build reusable and scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend validation.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform endtoend testing for lending workflowsapplication intake, credit underwriting, KYC/AML checks, loan approval, disbursement, repayment schedules, EMI calculations, NPA rules, and collections journeys.
- Validate integrations with credit bureaus, payment gateways, LOS/LMS systems, and thirdparty services.
- Conduct regression, system, integration, API, and performance testing as needed.
- Identify, document, and track defects in tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM.
Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of lending processes:
- Retail / MSME loans
- Origination workflows
- Credit rules & scorecards
- Repayment & amortization
- Delinquency, restructuring, foreclosure workflows
- Ability to interpret BRDs, functional specs, and lending business rules.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to refine requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA signoffs.
- Prepare test strategy, test plans, automation coverage reports, and execution summaries.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Experience with automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium (if mobile).
- Programming: Java, Python, JavaScript (any one or more).
- API Testing Tools: Postman, Rest Assured, Karate.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
- Version Control: Git.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills for backend validation.
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, MQ) is a plus.
Domain Skills
- Handson knowledge of lending system workflows (LOS/LMS).
- Understanding of NBFC/Banking regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with credit bureau integrations (CIBIL, Experian, Equifax).
- Experience in EMI calculation validation, interest computation, repayment logic.
