Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Telecom / ICT Design Engineer to join our growing Data Centres and Mission-Critical Facilities team in India. The role involves the design and delivery of Telecom and ICT systems for data centres, mission-critical buildings, and complex infrastructure projects. You will work closely with electrical, MEP, IT, security, architectural, and specialist engineering teams to develop coordinated, resilient, and fully constructible design solutions, ensuring high availability, redundancy, and operational continuity in line with international consultancy best practices and global standards.

Discipline-Specific Responsibilities

Design Telecom and ICT systems for data centres and mission-critical facilities including structured cabling, data networks, IP telephony, WLAN, DAS, CCTV, access control, PA/VA, master clock, and network management systems.

Develop ICT architectures and network topologies for Tier III / Tier IV data centres, ensuring high availability, redundancy (N, N+1, 2N), scalability, and resilience.

Coordinate with IT, security, and electrical teams to ensure system redundancy, uptime, and operational continuity.

Ensure compliance with TIA, ISO/IEC, IEEE, BICSI, Uptime Institute, NFPA, and local codes.

Core Design & Delivery Expertise (Common)

Deliver concept, schematic, detailed, and IFC-level design documentation in line with international consultancy best practices, applicable standards, and project requirements.

Prepare high-quality drawings, technical specifications, calculations, reports, BOQs, schedules, and tender documentation across all stages of design.

Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, MEP, ICT/ELV, Architecture, Structural, Sustainability, and other specialist disciplines to ensure fully integrated and constructible design solutions.

Participate in client meetings, design reviews, technical workshops, and presentations, providing clear technical inputs and recommendations.

Review vendor and contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals; provide technical evaluations and clarifications.

Support tendering, value engineering, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.

Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs, site inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Ensure compliance with international standards, statutory regulations, and client-specific guidelines.

Maintain high standards of design quality and documentation control.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and building systems.

Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Digital & Computational Design (Value-Add)

Collaborate with project teams to develop parametric models and computational workflows using tools such as Grasshopper/Rhino, Dynamo/Revit, Python, or similar scripting environments.

Automate repetitive tasks, streamline design workflows, and support design optimization and iteration within BIM and digital delivery environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or related discipline.

9–15 years of ICT design experience within reputed international design consultancies.

Strong experience in active and passive ICT infrastructure for mission-critical environments.

Experience on hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centres.

Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience preferred.

Certifications:

BICSI (RCDD/ DCDC),

CDCP/CDCS,

NVIDIA-Certified Associate AI Infrastructure and Operations (NCA-AIIO),

NVIDIA-Certified Professional: AI Infrastructure (NCP-AII),

NVIDIA-Certified Professional: AI Networking (NCP-AIN).

Knowledge of CSI Master Format and structured specification writing.

Excellent communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills.

Strong interest in digital design, automation, and innovation-led engineering delivery.
