Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India's first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don't just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you'll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

About the Role:

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across Avionics, AOCS, EPS, Structures, Propulsion, QA/PA, and Systems Engineering to create mission-critical technical documentation that powers successful space missions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of India's private space ecosystem, contributing to high-impact aerospace programs while shaping documentation frameworks aligned with ECSS, MIL-STD, and defence-grade engineering standards. If you are passionate about translating complex engineering concepts into precise, structured, and standards-compliant technical content, this role offers exceptional exposure, growth, and industry impact.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain high-quality technical documentation including System Requirements Specifications (SRS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Design Descriptions, Test Procedures, User Manuals, and Qualification Reports
  • Develop subsystem-level documentation for EPS, Avionics/CDH, AOCS, Propulsion, RF/Comms, Structures, and Thermal Systems
  • Create and manage technical review documentation for milestone reviews such as MDR, SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, and AR
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to gather, validate, and structure technical information into clear, accurate deliverables
  • Translate engineering inputs such as drawings, schematics, models, analyses, and test data into professional technical documents
  • Ensure documentation compliance with ECSS standards (ECSS-E-ST, ECSS-M-ST, ECSS-Q-ST) and internal aerospace documentation frameworks
  • Maintain document version control, revision histories, templates, numbering systems, and release workflows
  • Coordinate document review cycles, consolidate reviewer feedback, and drive closure of action items and revisions
  • Track and manage the Document Deliverables List (DDL) to ensure milestone adherence and programme readiness
  • Support QA/PA documentation, including NCRs, qualification records, traceability matrices, and configuration audit documentation
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, completeness, and technical integrity
  • Interface with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders to align deliverable schedules and documentation standards

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Communication, or related disciplines
  • 2–5 years of experience in technical writing within space, aerospace, defence, DRDO ecosystem, satellite systems, or engineering product development
  • Proven expertise in writing and managing complex technical documentation such as ICDs, specifications, procedures, engineering reports, and test documentation
  • Strong understanding of ECSS standards, MIL-STD, DEF-STAN, ISRO documentation practices, or equivalent aerospace documentation frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including styles, templates, cross-referencing, indexing, and revision tracking
  • Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint or similar platforms
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, block diagrams, schematics, test reports, and subsystem architectures
  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong focus on technical accuracy, clarity, and structured documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced, milestone-driven aerospace environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience documenting satellite subsystems including AOCS, EPS, Avionics/CDH, RF/Communications, Structures & Thermal
  • Exposure to AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) documentation such as ATP, ITP, and Test Reports
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS, Jama, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA)
  • Understanding of the complete space mission lifecycle and engineering review gates
