Technical Program Manager Procurement Systems

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong procurement and supply chain domain expertise to lead cross-functional technical programs supporting sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management systems. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, finance, operations, and external vendors to deliver scalable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical programs related to procurement, sourcing, supplier onboarding, and purchasing systems
  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
  • Manage system implementations, integrations, and enhancements for procurement platforms (ERP, P2P, SRM, supplier portals)
  • Own program planning, scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on API integrations, data flows, automation, and system performance
  • Drive vendor coordination, contract milestones, and third-party deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and security standards
  • Track program metrics, report status to leadership, and drive continuous improvement
  • Support change management, UAT, rollout, and post-deployment stabilization

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role
  • Strong hands-on experience with procurement systems (ERP, P2P, SRM, supplier management tools)
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes: sourcing, purchasing, contracts, supplier lifecycle
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and external vendors
  • Strong technical acumen (APIs, integrations, data flows, system architecture)
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and program governance skills
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum / Waterfall delivery models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, or similar
  • Background in supply chain or operations technology programs
  • PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications
  • Experience working in global or multi-region procurement environments
