We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Manager to drive the transformation of our internal data and technology workflows in support of our business objectives.
This role will focus on migrating spreadsheet-based and manual processes into centralized, scalable, and cloud-based workflows, while ensuring continued support for data delivery and operational needs. This is a hands-on doer-owner role. The successful candidate is expected to design the architecture, make key technical decisions, and personally drive implementation of critical workstreams, rather than join as a people manager expecting a large technical support team. While the role will work closely with and help guide technical colleagues, the primary expectation is strong individual ownership and hands-on execution in driving transformation.
Primary mission
Lead the team to drive technology transformation and cloud migration while maintaining reliable data delivery.
Business outcome
Reduce operational overhead and create a scalable foundation for centralized data, workflow automation and future AI-enabled capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Technology Transformation and Technical Ownership
Drive internal technology and data transformation initiatives aligned with business priorities
Define and execute the roadmap for migrating manual and spreadsheet-based workflows into centralized, automated, and cloud-based systems
Design scalable architecture for data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and centralized data storage, and remain hands-on in implementation
Balance transformation priorities with ongoing operational support for data delivery and internal business needs
Take end-to-end ownership of key technical workstreams, from solution design through delivery and stabilization
Institutionalize technical and operational knowledge through clear documentation, structured processes, and sustainable practices
Drive change management across systems and ways of working, ensuring adoption of new processes and tools across the organization
Data Infrastructure, Automation and Workflow Development
Build and improve automated data pipelines to enhance efficiency, traceability, and scalability of internal workflows
Support the migration of disconnected or Excel-based processes into warehouse-driven and centralized environments
Improve the accessibility, consistency, and governance of internal data to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making
Develop workflows that support data mapping, classification, and processing using structured logic, NLP, and machine learning approaches where relevant
Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and operational overhead through automation and improved systems design
Support the evolution of internal technology capabilities, including business intelligence, data tools, and workflow enhancements
Cross-functional Delivery and Business Support
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational pain points and translate them into practical technical solutions
Ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned with business priorities and support the company's data delivery requirements
Provide clear direction on priorities, implementation phases, and trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term system improvement
Support the generation of more scalable and value-adding insights from internal data sources, including opportunities to better use interview notes, mapped data, and structured content
Contribute to a stronger internal foundation for future AI-enabled capabilities, including NLP-based processing, insight generation, and agentic workflows where appropriate
Experience:
5+ years of experience in technical delivery, data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology transformation roles
Proven experience as a hands-on builder with strong ownership of delivery, architecture, and execution
Proven experience driving workflow, platform, or infrastructure transformation in business environments
Experience migrating manual, spreadsheet-based, or fragmented processes into centralized and automated systems
Experience designing and implementing data pipelines, warehouse-based workflows, or cloud-oriented data infrastructure
Experience working across technical and business stakeholders to deliver practical and scalable solutions
Exposure to workflow automation, business intelligence, or internal analytics tooling
Experience with NLP, machine learning, or AI-enabled workflows would be an advantage
Prior experience mentoring or guiding colleagues would be beneficial, but this is not a pure team lead role
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
Strong understanding of data workflows, system architecture, cloud migration, and process automation
Strong project ownership and change management capabilities
Ability to independently drive transformation while maintaining delivery continuity
Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical solutions to operational and business needs
A practical and structured working style, with commitment to documentation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement
Preferred Profile:
Experience in building centralized data environments that improve visibility, traceability, and reporting quality
Experience supporting data mapping or content processing workflows using NLP or machine learning methods
Familiarity with cloud migration initiatives and SQL-driven transformation environments
Experience evaluating or supporting AI-enabled workflow improvements, including agentic or semi-automated processes
Demonstrated ability to reduce operational overhead through system redesign and automation
Strong change leadership mindset, with the ability to drive adoption of new tools, practices, and workflows
