- Hands on Troubleshooting of Win2K3, Win2K8, Win2K12 environment
- Sound knowledge of IIS and its trouble shooting
- Server performance monitoring and analysis, Knowledge around how to use ProcMon and Xperf Secondary Skills
- Infrastructure monitoring exposure via monitoring tools like Moogsoft/ Zabbix/ BMC Patrol/ NewRelic etc Optional Skills ( VMware Admin)
- Good understanding of VMWare VSphere 5.x
- Experience on VCenter, ESX Guest and Host Management
- Good understanding of Virtual Infrastructure its Components and management of Host resources between virtual machines.
- Experience on Managing Data stores, Clusters, DRS and HA Policy
- Sound knowledge around VM Turbo tools
- Sound knowledge around Backup and Snapshots, V2V and P2V
- Good understanding of HP/Dell/CISCO UCS Servers BIOS settings,
- Hands on experience on HP SUM Tools and alerts
- Preferred understanding of UCS and unified Pod environment
- Hands on experience on Remote access tools KVM -DSVIEW, ILO/RIB, RDP
- Awareness of various Microsoft tools to troubleshoot performance issues Primary Responsibilities
- Proactive monitoring of events in OpsCenter
- Correlation and diagnosis of events
- Remediation of issues triggered through monitoring or no-impact incidents
- Identify recurring incidents and establish remediation plans
- Should be able to engage vendors to get issues fixed
- Ability to establish alliances with other teams through recognition of dependencies.
- Should be able to efficiently handover to overlapping shift across the globe
- Suggest process improvements to increase efficiencies to increase organization's capacity
- Decision making - provide opinion on how to work efficiently, other potential conclusions that can be drawn from the data, how to adjust the reports to draw conclusions more clearly Soft Skills required
