Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst (BA) to join our growing team in the Fintech and Background Verification (BGV) domain. In this role, you will act as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, working closely with Product Owners, developers, QA, and cross-functional teams to define, refine, and deliver high-impact digital solutions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring business requirements are clearly translated into scalable and secure technology solutions aligned with compliance and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine the product backlog and define epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules specific to the Fintech and BGV domain.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for the development team.
- Work closely with developers during sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews to ensure correct interpretation and implementation.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial transaction workflows, identity verification processes, risk engines, or background screening logic to identify areas for improvement.
- Support compliance with KYC/AML, data privacy, and background check standards through documentation and process clarity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with QA and business stakeholders, validating delivered features against regulatory and functional expectations.
- Assist with API design, data mapping, integration with third-party services (e.g., credit bureaus, background screening partners), and system interoperability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, workflows, decision logic, and technical processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field, MCA, or MBA with a technology/business systems background.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a Fintech, BGV, or technology-led domain.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
- Experience in writing epics, user stories, use cases, and technical documentation.
- Exposure to transaction systems, KYC/AML, identity verification, or employee background check workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process mapping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on stakeholder alignment.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Postman, and SQL.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data models, and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of compliance requirements in Fintech or BGV (e.g., RBI guidelines, GDPR, FCRA, etc.).
- Awareness of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
