Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Technical Architect to lead the technical vision and architecture for our mobile application ecosystem. This role will serve as the core technical authority for mobile initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across both iOS and Android platforms.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining architectural standards, driving technical strategy, optimizing application scalability, and ensuring consistency in business logic, API integrations, and security practices across mobile platforms. The role also requires strong expertise in selecting appropriate third-party SDKs, minimizing technical debt, and guiding engineering teams toward best engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall mobile application architecture and technical roadmap.
• Ensure architectural consistency across iOS and Android applications, including shared logic, API integration standards, and security protocols.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate, recommend, and integrate suitable third-party SDKs, frameworks, and tools.
• Establish best practices for mobile application development, performance optimization, and secure coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Backend Teams, and UX teams to deliver robust mobile solutions.
• Lead technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and code quality initiatives.
• Minimize technical debt through proactive architectural planning, refactoring strategies, and engineering governance.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend systems, APIs, authentication mechanisms, and cloud services.
• Mentor and guide development teams on architecture principles, design patterns, and mobile engineering best practices.
• Drive CI/CD adoption, automated testing strategies, and release management processes for mobile platforms.
• Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on mobile ecosystems.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade mobile applications.

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in:
• iOS and Android architecture
• Mobile application security
• RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Mobile performance optimization
• Scalable application design
• Deep understanding of:
• Design patterns
• Modular architecture
• Offline-first/mobile synchronization strategies
• Secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Experience with cross-platform/shared architecture approaches is preferred.

Architecture & Strategy

• Strong capability in defining high-level technical strategies and long-term architecture roadmaps.
• Expertise in selecting and governing third-party SDKs and integrations.
• Ability to balance scalability, performance, maintainability, and development velocity.

DevOps & Engineering Practices

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile release processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and analytics integrations.
