Job Description

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire implementations, upgrades, and integrations within the Insurance industry.
  • Proven expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter (CC), PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and end-to-end architecture ownership.
  • Deep understanding of Guidewire configuration, GOSU programming, and web services (REST/SOAP).
  • Strong experience with Guidewire Cloud, Edge APIs, and hybrid/cloud deployment models.
  • Familiarity with industry trends such as AI/ML integration, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and own the technical architecture, blueprints, and strategic roadmap for Guidewire ClaimCenter and related modules.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Develop technical strategies to address evolving business needs and emerging industry trends.
  • Evaluate new Guidewire features/modules for strategic adoption.

Implementation & Delivery:

  • Lead large-scale Guidewire projects, including greenfield implementations, upgrades, and cloud migrations.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA, and Development teams to ensure comprehensive understanding of requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance during solution design, development, and deployment phases.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor development teams for quality and maintainability.

Technical Solutioning & Integration:

  • Design and implement web services (REST/SOAP), data models, and microservices architectures.
  • Define non-functional requirements such as performance, security, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements effectively.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and resource optimization.
  • Monitor adherence to best practices, coding standards, and documentation quality.
  • Foster collaboration across teams and ensure alignment on project goals.

Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, integration guides, and deployment procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of coding standards and best practices.
