Job Summary
This job evaluation request is for the Team Manager RCM Quality & Outcome Improvement (QOI) role. The incumbent will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing the entire QOI Analyst team, including Analysts and Senior Analysts.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening the professional development of Senior QOI Analysts, who in turn support and groom Analysts. The Manager ensures effective mentorship, provides direct coaching on complex RCM scenarios, advanced data analysis, and stakeholder communication, and ensures the team operates at optimal capacity.
The role also owns performance management, goal setting aligned to RCM outcomes (such as revenue leakage prevention, AR days, and operational efficiency), and the resolution of performance gaps while ensuring coverage across specialties and client requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for critical MCS bucket resolution by monitoring team capacity and throughput to ensure timely completion and prevent client impact.
- Review bucket monitoring reports to identify high-risk areas and authorize resources for deep-dive analysis of recurring unallocated payments and systemic practice performance gaps.
- Define audit methodologies, frequency, and scoring standards. Ensure Senior Analysts provide constructive, actionable feedback and track partner improvement over time.
- Synthesize KPI data into executive-level summaries and drive the team beyond reporting toward proactive, high-impact improvement initiatives.
- Establish structured communication and collaboration models with cross-functional teams (CS, BOOST Ops, Quality Assurance & Training). Ensure best practices are documented, standardized, and scaled across the organization.
- Provide final approval for new or updated practice instructions, ensuring compliance, operational feasibility, and consistent communication to all RCM teams for implementation.
- Support monthly performance reviews by providing accurate, data-driven insights and strategic narratives to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Formalize mentoring frameworks led by Senior Analysts and provide tools such as training modules and standardized documentation. Personally coach Senior Analysts to strengthen their leadership capabilities.
- Maintain operational hygiene within the team and actively drive performance management and accountability.
Job Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of dedicated experience in Provider RCM
- Strong transaction-level understanding of US Healthcare RCM processes and best practices, with proven expertise across both front-end (eligibility, charge entry) and back-end (payment posting, AR follow-ups, denials) functions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Strong people management skills with proven experience in escalation handling and performance management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
